I’ve been awfully quiet lately, I know. It’s because I’ve been really busy! We have now installed ALL the cabinets, all the counters, the sink, all the hardware, most of the lighting and I’ve done about ½ the backsplash. I really can’t complain about the installation at all. We were worried about the sink, it is super large and very heavy, but we had it in just a matter of minutes, the plumbing, well that’s another story.
Here is a sneak peak…..
Needless to say, I still have to caulk, and add switch plates, the under cabinet valances, the crown moulding, under cabinet lighting and the floor and kick plates, but it is really looking pretty! This week I’m hoping to finish the backsplash, and we are tiling the floor this weekend, I can really see the end in sight!
In my free time, I’ve been experimenting with a new hobby, I’ve started hooking. Rug hooking that is! It is so simple, and requires very little thought, so it’s been perfect for this bone tired girl! All you do is use a little hook and pull up loops of wool yarn through burlap fabric. I’m making a rug to go in front of the refrigerator, it will have lots of shades of blue and grey stripes, here is what it looks like so far, I just love it!
You’ll be hearing from me soon, I promise!
